David Root, formerly of David Root Design Inc. has merged with
Cushing Terrell Architecture & Interiors, in Seattle, Washington.

David ran a small architectural design firm located in Seattle that concentrated on new residential construction & remodels over a span of 14 years. The office was composed of a team of designers led by David Root, who draws from his practical experience in the field of home construction, his education, and his belief in meaningful design based on the needs of the client.

David Root approaches each project with the goal of creating a design team consisting of the client, the designers, and the builder. We carefully listen to and consider the personal values of the client, and organize them into a coherent set of attributes for the project. It is these attributes, tempered by the experience & knowledge of the designers that will inform the project aesthetically, functionally, and financially. We consider a successful project to be one that ends with each member of the design team having a sense of ownership and pride in the completed work.
